GBL GOT BEER LICENSE Version 2, 16 November 2009 Copyright © 2009 Everyone is permitted to attend and distribute copies of this invitation, Preamble The Got Beer License is a free, until-there-is-none-left beer license for attendees of SC09. The licenses for most parties and other practical social events are designed to take away your freedom to free beer. By contrast, the Got Beer License is intended to guarantee your freedom to have a good time without the need to buy beer. The GBL was initially conceived in 1999 at the first Beowulf Bash. The authors decided that they wanted to enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere where many of the HPC pioneers could get together without the need to buy beer. The freedom to buy beer was then transferred to the sponsors. In recent years the BeoBash has combined with the LECCIBG project to form a united common license. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Source Of Party The following vendors have decided to support the GBL: In particular, one of our sponsors has donated six kegs of Accelerator Beer to help ensure your freedom to drink beer is preserved. 2.
